I know it would be great to have it open to all the community, and as you know that is the long term plan finchy, but we have to crawl before we walk and I think the entire community would just love to just see the door open and something happening.

A truer word never spoken! And Rome wasnt built in a day ! Yes the community would benefit but right now we need facilites for the youth club in this town. Well done Flower and keep the gr8 work up ! Best of luck for 2011 and keep us updated of fundraisers so that we can all help. It would be such an achievement to get part of that building open again.

flower, lady, great emphasis on Rome, did someone say it was built in a day, and we have to crawl before we can walk, I wonder did the organizers of the youth club think of that before they started up without a suitable premises, and what guarantee do we have that the CWMS hall will be suitable when it is renovated at great cost after all the parish office,the daycare centre, the old Ballykelly clubhouse and the council hall are all deemed to be unsuitable, no doubt ye will enlighten me

Who took your biscuit Finchy! Dont know anything about all those premises. Just know the youth club need help and i said Rome wasnt built in a daY!! And yes the CWMS premises would be ideal.. central.. safe and I remember a youth club there years ago (showing me age now) But I guess as your on the new committee Finchy you will have your own agenda ! Maybe there are organisations out there in the community that you are pushing for (and I can safely say its not the Youth CLub) were you not youth yourself once (lots of the older generation forget) Ha! Im sure the Club set up with their best interest at hear and they shouldnt be scorned ! No one is perfect! At least they have the interest of our youth in hand! So do your good deed on the committe and stop talking of great expense cause after all that hall is left to the young people of the parish (Male and Female)x

now now lady, nobody took my bicke, I agree with you the youth club need help, the premises I listed have all been deemed unsuitable as flower will confirm, you guess wrong when you say I have my own agenda nor is there a particular organisation in the community that I am pushing for,I also agree the youth club was was set up with the best interest in heart but remind you it wasn't me that used the term crawl before you can walk, and your also dead right when you say your showing your age, because if you can remember a youth club in that hall your not the spring chicken I thought you were, mansion or no mansion; I suppose you know what happens now;; flower will be on tearing shreds off of me and it's all your fault so it is drawing me out like that;;

finchy, the premises you mention are not all suitable for the Youth Club, they are the only ones on offer to them, BIG difference. Ballykelly is damp, cold and full of mice, the Parish Centre does not have room for them, they tried the day care centre bit it did not work out for them, not sure about the council hall. The CYMS could be made suitable for the Youth Club if we all put our minds down to it and stop making excuses all the time. It will take money to do the work needed but it can be done, I know the local community would be behind it especially now when everything in Monasterevin is closing it would be great to see something opening

flower, don't know what Big difference you mean, the premises I listed were all stated as unsuitable by the youth club not by me, and that includes the council hall. You are correct when you say the CWMS could be made suitable and you know only to well it will be at great cost, I think it's unfair of you to suggest people are making excuses, how do you think the local community will react if a large amount of their money is spent making the CWMS suitable for the youth club and as soon as a bigger or better premises is available to them they move out, and don't get on to me for mentioning the cost as when we talk about the CWMS hall the cost is paramount otherwise it would be open ages ago;
