I see some markings on the concrete, I have no official information yet, but what I see wouldn't be a huge concession. As I said I have no official information yet.

I thought we were looking to having the width of it reduced.

An update on the drawing that I linked to above, while not apparent on the drawing, this proposal does suggest narrowing the depth of the concrete by 800mm appprox 2 1/2 feet.
What's on offer; They are proposing rounding off the curves on Whelan street side( increasing the Radii) They are cutting off a chunk on the Garden side, at the canal end, (you can see the white paint mark on the concrete itself) and reducing the depth of the plinth on the garden side by approximately 2 1/2 feet.
We met to discuss this the other night (Tues) and have decided to go back to the council and ask for more, we want a significant reduction of the depth of the plinth on the garden side, as far in as the original path as they will go. We are also asking what they might be offering by means of improving the look of the remaining concrete plinth.
When we have the response to these further questions, we will be calling a general meeting, to inform everyone what has been offered. It will be up to the people who attend to assess what is being offered and decide whether to accept or reject the offer. It doesn't look like we will be offered the solution of having it removed completely. We will be announcing the date and time for the general meeting as soon as we get the response from the council. We expect a response within a week.

forester what we expected and what we got are unfortunately two different things. I told you all what we were told by the council representatives. We are still waiting on the official response and drawings from the council. I think it is part of their plan, delay, delay, delay and hope we will get fed up and go away and leave them alone.
As I learn anything new, I will be on here to inform people, there are no secrets, at least that I know of!!!
