o feckers april you poor thing . so i guess you never leave the posh bag and shoes alone. yes i think its about time that visitors are given only a few hours to visit, as do you realy need people calling when you should be resting and eating and talking to staff lets face it you are only there if you sick not for a hoilday.

Is there no security? do they get paid to keep the place secure, if they fail to do that then they should be shown the door.

It's the same in most hospitals, you can go where you like if you have the neck.

there is security but someone has to actually phone them to come. Our building is separate to the hospital... (believe it or not there are 7 hospitals within the st james hospital site)... there is no security on the hospital i work in..... anyone can just walk around the wards or corridors and no one would know the difference whether or not they are staff. No uniforms for admin staff anymore....

I think that is really bad in this day and age. Jesus you have a security man in a bloody supermarket, but none where there are vulnerable sick people, drugs and peoples belongings!! HSE, Mary Hairdo Harney should be brought in there and given an enema!!!

i've seen them in the Mater and then the experience I spoke of before in James's when I was sent home along with lots of other patients because that gangster Gilligan was brought in and took over the whole floor of the hospital with all his wardens. Git, he should have been left on the cell floor where they found him.

prisoners are brought into the public waiting area where i work, and they have to take their turn like everyone else. They are getting systems in place now where the consultants visit the prisons as it is far cheaper than having to take a prisoner to the hospital with two guards.

got false teeth fitted yesterday and dentist told me that they would hurt for a while. to go back to him when i couldn't stand the pain. Now not being one who loves pain, which has already started on bottom gum. How long should I wait. I mean the pain is not that bad until I bite something or maybe swallow . Don't want to go back so quick and appear a total wuss, but don't want to prolong agony in case I do harm to my gum.

Why should you worry about whether dentist thinks you're a wuss or not? don't be daft, go on back if you're in pain, or try a bit of bonjela and a painkiller for a day or two, and then go back.

got some of my teeth removed and replaced last year, so i know the agony you are suffering. you have to understand your gums are comin to terms with your new falsies, sort of like wearing them in.but it gets better in a while.
