download AVG 8.5 and ad-aware they are both free - the more "protection" the better I say!!!!!!! April, that's not actually the case. Certain products clash with one another or are interpretted as malicious by one another and this leads to big holes in your security. this is particularly true of microsoft and norton products. A combination like you mentioned is pretty cool (me likes AVG) but ad aware dosent have quite the range of trojan detection signatures that spybot does. I can't recommend a spybot highly enough, but hey, if it works for ya then don't fix whats not broke

Of course there are holes in the security its the W.W.Web its full of holes. Nets and webs ,good for holding fishes and insects, but an awful lot gets trough the holes. Guess those guys knew what they were doing when they called it the internet. I get entangled on a regular basis.

If Vista: go to Control Panel; then select Default Programs; then select set default programs. Select Windows Media Player; then select "Set thyis program as default". Or, you can choose to specify which programs to be played by "Media Player" Lotsa Luck

Kway With Vista, go to Control Panel, then Default Programs, THEN select the option "Set Program Access and Computer Defaults". When a new pop-up screen appears, it'll give you a choice to "Choose a default media player", Change it to your choice. This is for Windows Vista. You haven't replied as to which operating system you're using.

I installed spybot the other day. Now this little box appears every time I turn on the computer saying something about accepting or denying a change. I haven't a bloody clue what it's about and I don't know which box to click in case I'm getting rid of something I need. It's just a number that comes up so it means diddly to me! It does say that there are 156003 threats blacklisted and 283740 known ratings available. What does that mean?

I guess Spybot is constantly checking back to the ranch and attempting to pull updates and ask your permission so it can recognise newer figerprints of nuisances like spyware, malware, trojan, adware and any other pesky oppurtunists out there.
