The EU!!... now there's a contradiction, the word ''union'' would lead you to believe that we were all in this together, Merkle and Sarkozy and their corporate puppet masters point to the fact that our government failed to regulate our banks so its our fault, the ignore the fact that the ECB was as bad. Having made billions in our property bubble they then set themselves up as loan sharks when it burst to make more, if they can they don't intend to lose a cent. We as a nation will never be able to pay off the burden of debt and our new government have just realized that the bond holders they were going to burn include most of our credit unions a fact the last government knew from the start. All the political parties bar one or two encouraged us to vote for the Lisbon Treaty, if we knew then what we know now would it have got through the second time ??
PS Not one of the people in the council office was European

www.independent.ie/national-news/councillor-to-make-complaint-over-mings-illegal-drug-use-2582998.htmlIn case anyones still mourning FFs demise, here's a final nail in the coffin - See what FF councillor J Coonan has gone to the cops about - Mings choice of smoke. When ff councillors start shite-ing on about setting a good example for our young and singling out the private consumption habits of an articulate, forward thinking left winger, you know its time to take out the bong and smoke one for Ireland. I think J Coonans energies would better spent working out ways to solve the e160 billion debt burden his party has tied to the feet of future(drowned?) generations. That would really be doing the youth of Ireland a service.

well... if this issue of growing and smoking canabis is not dealt with.... after all it is illegal... it is just back to same old.. same old... politicans can do what they want as we saw with the ff's.... and see where that got us.... we cant have one rule for the politicans and another for the people who elected them..... anyway the gardai should have tackled this issue with the individual involved without having to wait until a complaint was made.... more of same old same old.... no one will make a decision... typical of this country.... thats what has us in the mess we are in.....

Agree, Mick must realize that he is now in a place where he has to show moral leadership, I don't agree with the notion that what he is doing is harmless. Its time we as the electorate demanded a higher level off moral responsibility from our politiciansand stop taking the rubbish they go on with. I'm sure the people who elected Ming didn't put him in there to legalize pot. As a Fianna Failer J Coonan has some neck, these wasters would like us to believe that the didn't exist before Micheal Martin, I don't suppose he'll call for a bank inquiry

I see Ming is off the "wacky backy". Hope Finan Fail ministers are as quick to lodge a complaint about their own members who partake in illegal activity.
Glad he has decided to stop taking it as it sending mixed messages.

The dress code is something the journalists picked up on and made an issue of it.

i agree totally ballyboy. if only they would give house's to proper irish people who are in need of them instead of the scavenger's comin in from other country's and doing fxxk all to earn a house. unless you count having children every 12 month's a good house earner.

Very harsh words forester. Plenty of irish people were housed over the years and were given generous rent allowances. To refer to any person regardless of their race as scavengers is very ignorant of you. Most no nationals are hard working people, they were willing to do jobs that some irish people thought were beneath them. I can also tell you that irish people are well able to milk the system forester. Get that chip on your shoulder sorted.

mareseatoats.... how can you say Quote "most non nationals are hard working people"? can you back that up? I can just as easily say most irish people are hard working people.....
i strongly object to childrens allowances being paid to people who have never set foot in Ireland.... I also object to people who have never paid taxes in this country been seen in the hospitals on a regular basis and medication handed out to them which costs thousands each month... these are just two examples im sure there are lots more.....
