..as we all expected,FG will be the main party in the next Dail,at the moment looks like they won't have an overall majority,so will need Labour or some Independents...in whose ranks are some colourful characters, Mick Wallace,Wexford and Luke "Ming" Flanagan,Leitrim/Roscommon to name a few, hope they shake up the suits when they take their seats,'cos thats exactly what we need now in Leinster House, new faces and fresh ideas....

No matter what party is in the damage has already been done and it's them fresh ideas I'd be more concerned about. Even Finchy has been stunned into silence and that takes a lot. The IMF are the biggest party in power at the moment and will be pulling our strings for a good while to come.

just watched Tonight with Vincent Brown from Friday night on tv3.ie. Ming was on the panel and was quite impressive about local government change. I hadn't heard him before, so I will give him a chance. I think people like ming and wallcace will have something to contribute as they have recent work/life experience that is relevant to the changes that need to happen, my fear is that the system will not allow new ideas to get through.

Regarding new ideas from new faces I'm not sure if they will be entertained going by how George Lee got on.

just watched "The Naked Election" on Rte Player. Again I was impressed by Ming, I think he is definately more than a "wannabe".
He definately looked more in touch with reality that the other politicans featured.

Hi April,
There is a documentary about "Ming" on YouTube, it follows him from the late 90's. Whether you love him or hate him it is an interesting programme to watch. Have a look at it and let us know what you think.
Go to YouTube and type in "The life and crimes of ming". It is done in ten parts of 10 mins each so make sure in watch them in Sequence.

rightsoted, a politician is a representative of the people and is not above the law.... if he smokes pot and grows pot he is breaking the law..... there are rules for a reason.... and we all know what the developers/banks/politicians did to destroy our country..... QED
