I hate the rain, it makes me feel trapped, and bad tempered, sun showers I can cope with, it's the grey skies, today is lovely and bright and I feel like doing things, walking, cleaning, washing clothes.. am I alone in this? I wouldn't have thought so.

Don't worry you are not alone in this, I'm trying to ignore it but I can't but herself is not even trying to ignore it.

I did a full line of washing yesterday morning, all white things, I was otherwise occupied when the monsoon season started up again.. the clothes were ruined, apart from being wet they were all spattered with black, so I had to take them in, spin them again, then re-wash the buggers.. I tumble dried them, sod the electricity bill.!

That'd be good alright!! It's concrete where the line is, but I suppose down here the ground gets very green because of all the trees and hedges. Then we have a big furnace outside that heats our house, plus we light the fire, not at the moment obviously, the guy next door is always burning stuff and I think all the smuts just settle on the ground and all it needs is a good heavy shower to lift it all!! Then the moss off the roof I notice is on my decking where it fell after the heavy rain, so good and bad. Clean roof, dirty clothes, you can't have it every way.!

ah that's lovely sugarloves.... but watch your bling with those magpies!!!... we have two pigeons who regularly "make love" on our back wall....
Our neighbour got her roof powerblasted a few years ago (in the gud auld days..)to get rid of the moss and she has had problems ever since with a leaking roof, broken tiles etc.... it looked so nice and new and clean when she got it done, but she said it was a huge mistake... so don't be tempted to powerblast your roofs!!!!....

Magpies don't last long here. Nasty birds, they kill young of other birds and damage the nests, the hubby hates the chattering in the morning, so he dispatches them fairly swiftly.

what a nice way to put that loc .. sounds like he places them on the last rain from the station... these seem to be very busy looking for worms but i not allowed feed them in the winter as we had furrys big ones awhile back and himself will dispatch me if he catches me feeding them as for making love on the wall it must be a sight. they dont do that on the northside.......... back of a wall more like it.
