This has been a tough year for nearly everyone, I myself was out of work for a few months earlier this year and I will never forget my family and friends who were so good to me during this time.
I was thinking the other night how tough things still are and thats even with me back working and then my husband told me about the couples on the Late Late Show Friday night who were about to lose their homes.
So I have made a decision, I know a couple who are really really struggling this Christmas and when I am going to do my Christmas shopping for my own children I am going to buy something for their children. Whatever I buy I am going to post to them (mark on box Personal and hope they don't open it in front of the children) so they will definitely get them (my first thought was to leave the presents at the front door and run) -
They will not know who sent them but hopefully they will take it in the spirit it is meant and know that people care. Maybe if we could all do this, it does not have to be something big, a jigsaw, a book anything that just might help somebody.

a thats so good to think of someone else in theses hard times, yes if everyone does one thing to help someone in need the world would be a better place for all, yes it would be such a shock for someone in need to get this gift no matter how small.as they say a little help goes a long way.

In Celbridge this weekend the SVP group are asking people to take a card out of a basket when leaving mass. Each card has details of a person, boy/girl/woman/man and age group. You buy a suitable present for the person you pick and leave it back to the church next weekend and the SVP group will organise delivery.

It would be nice to see some Christmas spirit coming from Super Valu to be honest. All the lovely lights in the town make a show of Super Valu not that mc Conville cares, after all he never cared any other year.

no flies on you then, forester.....
just wondering if anyone has cut out sending christmas cards?..... I posted mine today and they cost 25euro to post.... mind you i did buy them in the sales last year for little or nothing.... but it is very expensive all the same.... i would hate for it to die out as over the years you meet people and lose touch and its nice to let them know that you still think about them.....
