i got a old phrase from an historical item already but would like to get a picture. where did you get the old phrase from, i have never heard that one before. good one, though. i got the phrase in one of the monasterevin historical page's, and presume it mean's. that if a mouse was to do a pub crawl that by the time he got to the nag's head, he would feel like an elephant. correct me if i am wrong.

The main thing is that your avatar must be up on the internet somewhere and you can browse to it. Then enter its URL when configuring your avatar in your profile.

If you copy your photo to somewhere like photobucket.com then you will be able to use it for your avatar.

joepublic, question for yah. this came up on a site that i was using to try and make a decent avatar.---if your forum support's uploading an avatar from a remote site, this (picture i am using) will work. do not use code for a remotely hosted avatar. will it work on this forum. sorry for stupid question's but as you might have gathered is i am useless when it come's to computer's and suchlike.

The forum doesn't support uploading an avatar from your PC to your profile on the forum but you can do it in a roundabout way. If you have a picture on your PC you want to use first make sure it's not too big to use as an avatar, it should be 100 x 100 pixels or less. To make it smaller you can open it with paint and resize it to be within the 100 x 100 pixel size and then save as a new name. When you have the suitable file for an avatar then just reply to this post and use the "attachment:" option and attach your file, then add a few words in the post and post it. If you get that far I'll then give you the rest of the instructions.
