To post a photo on the forum it must first exist somewhere on the internet. If you don't have your own bit of web space where you can copy the photo to then you can use somewhere like photobucket.com to host your photo. Help from here on depends on where you get stuck.

What do you mean by"your own bit of web space" jp? It's disk space anyone can read/view over the Internet but only you, and anyone else granted with the necessary permissions, can write to ( post to, copy to ).

i discovered old picture's of monasterevan.they were on the outside of a small box (made in portlaoise prison) designed to hold sewing needle's,thread and such-like.the picture's are on the outside, covered in thin clear wrap.now my problem is, on the outside the covering is all yellow, probably due to smoke.how do i clean that off as the picture's are in very good condition.one covering is slightly tore and the picture is original colour

Try a damp cloth as it is plastic wrap. Smoke should come off, but of course if it is very old it may well be ingrained in it. If you have any local photographers they might have a suggestion as to how to remove it.

Click on "profile" up beside "logout" and the click on "modify profile". It is the "Avatar" you need to work with to give you the picture beside your name.
