Hi. I'm buying in this estate and my solicitor just received a list of things we need to agree to (can't remember the name used). One of the things were that in order to extend your home you have to get planning permission (which is fine) but also permission from the builder. I find this odd and my solicitor has asked that this be removed. Has anyone had any dealings with the builder in relation to extending? And was he flexible? Also, is the management company separate for the apartments and the houses? Asking because I've heard horror stories from other estates of people being caught having to contribute to lifts needing repaired although they live in a house. Any help would be greatly appreciated. More than happy to approach someone in the estate who has built in but thought I'd try here first!
