With all the hullabaloo that went on a few weeks ago regarding the wind farms, I am surprised there is no mention of the planning application that has gone in for a major dumping depot just outside the town on the Athy road at the green road cross, if this gets passed there will be no opening our windows during hot spells for fresh air as there won't be any. It was brought to my attention yesterday by a local objector, he said he had been canvassing in town for the last few weeks, anyone else hear anything ?

Is this what the "Local Residents Say No To Toxic Smell" sign is about at the top end of the forest? Interesting sign, but no further information, so a bit pointless on the aul information and educational front!

I joined this forum to try to raise awareness on the windfarm issue, however anyone who wants to see how the planning application for this is going can go online to the Kildare Planning System. The planning reference is 13545 and at the last count there were over 70 objections to the proposals.
