Kildare County Council are now part of the Fix Your Street system where you can log on and report a problem with your street to the council. www.fixyourstreet.ie/It doesn't say how quickly they will respond to complaints though. Go ahead, get it off your chest !!!!

Ive added the following entry for Cow Pasture/Hopkins Haven road
"Road from crossroads@supervalu to cowpasture/Hopkins Haven is seriously potholed . Heading out toward Cowpasture footpath disappears and all pedestrians are forced to walk on road. Road is also unlit. Further up toward junction with n7, road is badly surfaced on right so cars tend to drive in middle of road further increasing chances of an accident. Lots of litter recently dumped on same stretch. "

I'm not certain of this but I believe that once potholes are reported to the council and an accident subsequently occurs it makes them liabile. Therefore they usually try to resolve issue that are reported to them reasonably quickly. Will be interesting to see if anything is done. The lack of a footpath along this stretch always bothers me.

Had a street light on our road fixed last week. My wife contacted FixYourStreet with the complaint and Airtricity showed up the following day. Pretty impressive response.

Must be something to what JC said, once reported they must have to respond.

road in front of park is safe to drive on, at last. and it only took the lad's a week, and very little road restrictions. fair play to them.

Quick job all right,i would have liked to have seen some speed restrictions put in place. The speed some people drive on that road between topaz and ferns bridge is outrageous. Two cars last night must have been doing close to motorway speeds.
