Are we heading the way of the old forum? ?. Seventwo, this forum have never changed since the day it was set up last november apart from one thing!! the amount of new members who joined when the KCC forum closed. It's a fun forum, not a strict one.

I wouldn't mind but I'm a member and I'm having great difficulties logging in. It now takes me about ten attempts before it will accept my password! I'm getting fed up with it!!

Glad to hear its not strict. Perhaps I'm a little stupid. But this is the first forum that I have come across that requires signing in just to read whats on it. When KCC began introducing rules and regulations they destroyed our forum. Joe public, guests are one thing but what constitutes members, just like the old forum there are some double and triple I.D.'s on this forum. The guests like the ghosts in the old forum will always be with us.

Campbells says it normal practice in many fora to have to login to view postings. It makes me wonder what kind of fora Campbells frequents as it not the norm on any I visit.

ChewChew, before this change to having to log in to read, I had my password 'remembered' so that I wouldn't have to keep writing it in every time, which I find a nuisance. As it is often advised to have a longer, unusual password with numbers, upper and lower case etc. which can be awkward to type. Now, the option to have it remembered only appears once in a blue moon, and it doesn't stay remembered, like the KCC forum. At present it is remembered but I get a message that it is invalid. I have to make several attempts before it will accept the same password.
I too have never seen a forum where you have to log in just to read. It doesn't make any sense to me, and I think it is a great pity, just when everything was going so well. This used to be a very happy place before all of this. Now it has a particularly unwelcoming effect.
