I had a problem with ivy on my back wall there at the setanta. It is a really old wall covered in ivy... branches of it.... One summer I painstakenly cut it right back only to discover that it was actually growing through the walls. I put weedkiller on it and it did the trick. So cut it back as much as you can and the get a paint brush and paint the weedkiller onto the fresh cuts....

Any suggestions for a mobile that has good sized screen and buttons. I wear glasses to read and find most phones a bit of a struggle to see clearly when I am out due to size of text / buttons. also having a loud and long ringtone would be effective as well. tones on the phones nowadays last approx 7 seconds. sure it tales me that to concentrate on listening to see if it's my tone.

Hey Coo..Smart phones like the Vodafone 858 or iphone have very easy to use keypads and loud ringtones to boot. My Parents in Law just got iphones (they had similar problems to what you described)and they can't believe how easy they are to use.

The length of time the phone rings is not governed by the phone but by the service provider unless you have it set to divert after a period of ringing ( e.g. to voicemail )

My phone rings twice.. I'm with vodafone too, I've a blackberry and I'm bill pay.. I think when you're on bill pay they want it to go to voicemail, it must mean more money for them.

If you can't lengthen the ring time by playing with the phone settings you have to call o2, VF, Meteor or whoever you are with and ask them to increase the ring time.
