The monster spiders have been visiting for over a month now but this morning the biggest one I ever saw hopped into the shower beside me. I'd put up with a smaller one but not this giant so I dealt with him fairly swiftly. Imagine if it was herself that had this experience.

I have one on a web on an arch in the garden, he /she has been there for nearly two weeks. I must get a pot of him on here. Biggest I've seen in years, TG he is not inside.

Don't even go there, there was one on the back door step the other day and it was the size of a mouse, I'm not the better of it.

I hav'nt seen that many this year, but the ones I have seen would make even me turn to the drink for solace.

Don't think you need much encouragement there.

I resent that locally;however the link between drink and spiders may be a sadly neglected source of social problems.
I know that I'm terrified of the fuckers.

I was taking my extra pillows off my bed the other night before getting into it and the next thing this BIG black spider ran across my spare pillow!!! I nearly died. I lashed the pillow with a shoe I picked up but it wouldn't kill him and then he ran inside the pillow case - I had to bring the whole lot into the bathroom and try shake him down the toilet he was huge it took two flushes and toilet cleaner just to be sure. I didn't sleep a wink as I kept thinking there were more around the bed. NOT GOOD

We have millions of them! At the weekend we got a skip and did a huge cleanup out the front garden - bushes and everything cut back - and I think the spiders all ran into the house! My 6yo is delighted - he has started collecting them and puts them in this magnifying box thingy - just to make them look more huge and terrrifying!
