So people.. I'm going to a wedding soon down the country. Now, it's just me. No plus 1, which is absolutely fine by me. However.. I just don't know what is an appropriate gift! The girl is a friend, but not a close friend. Wouldn't talk to her very often, and it's probably been a year since I last saw her.. so how much should I stick in a card?

im going to a wedding on friday and asked if there was a wedding list with any of the department stores... i was told 'no' that they just wanted money..... i think that is extremely 'rude'.... there is a way of putting things... like they have everything so dont really need anything... then i would have got the message just to put a cheque in a card..... if you are going on your own chew... id say the would be very pleased to get 100 euro......

I never thought of a wedding list. I just asked the bride does she have a wedding list and she no wedding list, that her guests presence is enough. so that's nice, I'll just put money in a card so.

The gift vouchers that An Post do are very handy, they are called one4all and are accepted in over 4,500 retail outlets.

I think that your very presence will be a more than sufficient gift.
