There's a danger if you keep throwing on feed during a dormant period you could end up over doing it and make the soil too rich.

all the cordylines at my beach were fine joe and i did hear today on radio if you cut them back they should grow back. but mine are fine thank god i do like these but hate when they flower as they attract wasps by the gang and my darlings at the beach hate wasps.so we cut the flowers off and they are not too nice to smell also.

We used to have one and there was a massive wasps nest right down in the centre of it. We cut it down and low and behold it was as big next year again, we dug it up and the bugger grew again, there must have been a bit of root left. We eventually poured petrol on it, it died then. We had exactly the same problem with pampas grass, nightmare, wasps nest and petrol again!!!!

would that not be a good thing... rich soil.... nice rich bay trees? It's better to do it in moderation, like a patient you don't just keep pumping in drugs to make them better. Too much can be poison.
