You could try a small spot of superglue on the bit of the key in your hand and hold it against the bit in the lock without shaking your hand for a minute or ten and then try and pull it out. Too much superglue or too shaky a hand and the whole lot will be jammed up. Failing that you might need the help of the McNamaras.

something similar happened to our front door, and himself went down to the locksmiths there in the mill in celbridge. they are really good and told him how to replace the barrell himself. it was a five point lock, probably like your patio lock and it was simple to fix.... for someone who knows nothing about locks... worth going down and talking to them... only cost 25euro in total....

Don't mind April, she's a bit tetchy these days, think it might be winter coming in and the dark mornings and evenings and rain and stuff.. She'll be grand when she gets used to it.

She should be locked in a wardrobe for the winter along with her bay trees. ;D localy... you are so right, actually i do change with the seasons... i am so not a winter person, hate the cold, dark, grey, damp, wet, frost, snow, slush, mud, short days.... etc. etc... i think i must have a seasonal disorder.... i really need my fix of blue sky and heat.... thank god we had a lovely long summer this year.... joep yes i feel as if i am locked in for the winter but sadly only one bay tree survived.... so feeling really sorry for one sad lonely bay having to face a long winter all alone...

And you were really looking forward to some action in the Setanta or something to bring you out of the closet.
I have to keep the wardrobe theme going to make the posts valid.
