How does one post an image like the bat above? I usually copy and paste the address on the properties part of an image but it doesn't seem to work here, thanks.

Photobucket is very vulnerable, so I wouldn't go putting private photos up there or anywhere on the internet for that matter!! Its easily hacked.
But for forum ava's and the like its grand.

Save them on your PC unless you need them on the Internet. If you are concerned about backups you can purchase a USB attached drive for as may Gigabytes as you need and keep a copy on it as well.

Joe, I use USBs in work sometimes and they can be extremely troublesome. I have lost important data several times on them. They aren't very reliable at all..... maybe sugarlove is right... just print off.... but ive got kind of used to haveing them all neat in folders on the PC...... Is there any other safe site on the internet to store them?

But once they are out there it takes a few days at least for photobucket to patch them. The most recent one was where you added "?albumview=grid" after the photobucket account url and you could then view all photos of that account. That has been patched, there is another one but I can't remember it. Its probably been patched too at this stage. Also the internet is not safe. Period. Keep them on cds or whatever if you don't like using usb keys. Or get yourself a cheap external hard drive.

Thats because photobucket don't announce these flaws. People can get into your albums and have a look around and see things you may not want people to see! You won't know that someone has been there. Theres a whole different world online, the majority of people are unaware of it and thats the dangerous part. Happens all the time to unfortunate and foolish people who upload, ahem, "intimate" photos of themselves (for whatever reason!) to their albums. These people then use these images as leverage and extort and bribe the victims, or if its the internet hate machine on duty, they'll just send the pictures to a bunch of people you know. Friends, class mates, teachers, bosses...you name it. All image sites have flaws. Even the mighty myspace, bebo and facebook are flawed. Facebook in particular. I'll say it again, the internet is a dangerous place and is in no way secure!!! Anyway, hopefully that won't put any of you lot completely off the internet...
