Click the modify profile tab. Its in there. Theres no need to change to GMT+1, you just need to check "Currently Observing DST" is set to no. That should fix it. Thanks, modify profile was a bit obvious ok!!

Anyone like to tell us the 'reason' ?

"Guests" are the reason. People who haven't registered coming to the site and spouting personal grievances with other members. Basically rubbish-stirrers.
Neither I nor chew have the time to be dealing with such childish behaviour so this way when someone is out of line they can be warned and banned easily if needs be.

with the risk of being banned can I ask is there not an intermediate step i.e. allowing guests to look, but not to post !!!!

Unfortunately not Ros, Somehow there are a few people who can just start threads as guests, and there is no happy medium re an intermediate step. it's either this way or the other and this seems to be the safest!

I enjoy the rubbish stirring threads some guests leave and with proper administators they don't last very long.

i'm hoping to get to talk to campbells soon to see what he can sort out. unfortunately his schedule is just crazy so its hard to catch him lately! but Ros, if you can get people to sign up it would be fantastic. how do you think the monasterevin forum is going for you?

chewchew, I cant sort the list of members in to the sequence of new arrivals, just lowest posts. However the goodly st. Evin says it all when he seems to notice a couple of new people on today again. It looks like they are beginning to find the site. Getting better I'd say, I am still a little concerned at campbells proposal to ditch it all and start again. I really would like to see what he is proposing. The Monasterevin crowd are a little tender after being so abruptly evicted from their last home, I don't know what effect it will have, doing it all again so quickly.
We are but newcomers and we are at your mercy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
