Wouldn't it be great if everyone posted a scenic photo when they came back from their holidays for us all to see?

Local, I nearly got eaten by a couple of these sharks in Sardinia some years ago. I used to love fairly long distance swimming in those days, so one afternoon I decided to swim from one bay to the next, with a friend. Shortly before we reached our destination, we noticed a few Sardinians waving frantically at us and shouting something in Italian. It was only when we got on to the pier that we saw two HUGE sharks. There could have been more of them lurking like those your picture. We were delivered back safely by boat, which had to give these creatures a wide berth as they could have turned the boat over. Needless to say, I never repeated that exercise. ;D ;D !!!!

I remember seeing a programme several years ago about the existance of Great White Sharks in the Med.Naturally this was a fact that no tourist agency in the region was willing to publicize. But there have been quite a few deaths.

I think they are just basking sharks.

No definately not basking sharks, I just googled them and they are huge. The sharks in my picture were not very big, they could have been dogfish, which are small sharks, and there are a lot of them in the med.

Ok April, it was me giving the instructions to Beccalewis, not the other way round, but anyway. do not cut and paste. once you have a picture loaded, you can edit it if you want to, then when it appears in your album, click the bottom line of text under the picture, It says IMG Code at the side, it will say copied in yellow when you click it. then come back to here and click paste and a line of text will appear, but when you post it the picture will come up. I'm going to do one now.
