Well, the vatican is a must on a Sunday morning if you are there then as well as the all the other well known sights. Check out the opening times before you go to visit the sistine (oops dont know how to spell it!!) chapel....as I think it might be closed on a Monday. You can walk almost everywhere once you are in the city centre. The restaurants around the back streets are far cheaper than those around the main tourist sites. Benetton is everywhere!... I loved the spanish steps as the flowers were all in bloom when we were there. Its an amazing city. If its your first time there you will just love it.... Enjoy and lets know how you get on... Nothing like Italian Pasta!!! and of course the Vino..... As for the Italian "men" they are a sight for sore eyes.....

A short walk from Circus Maximus you have the Baths of Caracalla, fantastic to see how advanced the plumbing system was those days. The Basilica di San Clamente is near enough the Coliseum, just a bit up Via di San Giovanni. Both places are not the "typical" ones but worth a visit. Also the Valley of the Carafella but avoid if you have hay fever... If you can visit the Pantheon, the old part of the city or Ostia Antica, walk in the direction they did centuries ago in the Via Appian Antiica and remember to through a coin in the Fontana di Trevi..You will come back! There is not enough time no matter how long you stay to see Rome

you could that and go to one of the hills surrounding the city but knowing how the Italians drive it might be a bit dangerous... Bring her to Da Vittorio then it's in Via di San Cosimato if I remember right, in Trastevere. Better pizza outside Naples some may say!
