Anyone any suggestions where would be a nice "hot" place to go on holidays that is very close to a nice big sandy beach? Looking to go September sometime but don't quite know where to go?

Tunisia, it's hot its beautiful, the beaches are gorgeous and the hotels are luxurious. We've been 7 times and I would happily go again.

Localyokel, my brother lived there for three years and I went to visit him.... I found that when I was on the beach I was absolutely "pestered" by sellers and men "following" me...... Did anything like this happen to you? Yes the hotels are pure luxury..... and the beaches gorgeous.... it was the men that put me off...... I just didnt feel "safe"

I'm back and hate it. Turkey was just fab and I have to say was the best holiday ever. We stayed in the Palmin Hotel, It was just great. Weather was brilliant. The hottest day was 38 degrees. The Turkish people as so lovely and love the Irish. Shops, shops, shops and more shops. Market went on for miles. I throughly enjoyed the holiday. I was told by a few people that you will either love it or hate it, well we all loved it and please god heading there again next May.

Let's just say my new best friends are called, Gucci, D&G, Chanel and Prada. Watches, bags, shoes. We stayed in a Hotel not a apt so we ate out all the time, either in the restaurant in the Hotel or along Ladies Beach. Beer was lovely Efes beer, very like Carlsberg I thought. Did I mention I was freezing...

Forgot a word thanks to boss appearing out of nowhere There is three markets in Kuadasi, Fruit and veg on Monday and Friday. Clothes etc on Wed. The second week we ventured out to the market again on the Wed, my little one was not able, the heat got to her and she was ill going back to the hotel.

LOL Millie you are so funny! Socks in bed in May LOL but it is understandable. I love the idea of those fruit and veg markets that go on forever Love the smells and the colours and being able to get the food from the farmer directly! Have a nice cuppa with a bit fo Turkish Delight and dream of what you'll do next year when you go back;)
