You should try going with Mrs A, like a second honeymoon It was really nice and the travelling through snow at night just reminded me of the Orient Express. It was a bit cold alright, well below zero but they do the same type of trips in the summer. Sognefjords Country must be absolutely fabulous in the summer. Oslo is very nice too as a city, and absolutely inmaculate when you compare it to Dublin.

Every where is immaculate when compared to Dublin!! Nuremberg and Munich were also two immaculate cities.

is Dublin reallt that bad for litter?? I didnt think it was. I was in Prague and it was spotless. but I never considered Dublin to be hugely litter ridden

It's a filthy kip compared to these other European countries. I think it's to do with pride, if people have no pride in their city they won't keep it clean, of course that thinking stems from the top down. Our beautiful buildings are pulled down, not preserved, our roads are a mess, our economy is a mess, just like our streets. Don't start me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!arghhhhhh!!!!!!

Don't laugh at this but the first time I ever set foot in Dublin and I passed Grafton Street all I could notice was the smell of urine and vomit :S

It is a real shame but people's attitude towards littering, dirt and respect towards others and public places generally stinks in this country. Thanks Holly, it was absolutely lovely and terribly peacefull, even got to see a couple of whales..What a view! Makes you feel really small and appreciate what really matters. Hope your little grandaughter didn't get an upset tummy with all the Easter eggs
